What we do
Two buildings, done properly
We hold suites in two towers in Garneau — Garneau Towers on 111 Street and University Tower on 112 Street — and let the bedrooms inside them individually, furnished, to students. That is the whole business. We are not a platform, we do not list other people’s rooms, and there is no agent taking a cut between you and the lease.
The advantage of running two buildings on one street is that we know them. We know which rooms get the afternoon light, which floor the quiet ones are on, and how long the walk to the Education building actually takes in January. A national operator with four hundred buildings cannot tell you any of that.
We are not the University of Alberta and neither building is University housing. University Tower carries that name from its own history — it was a University residence years ago and is privately owned now. Your lease is with us, so it does not depend on your registration.
How we write about the building
Nothing on this site is a guess
Every price, floor area and room count on this site comes from the current listing data for these rooms. Every walking figure is measured along the street grid from the front door, at eighty metres a minute, rounded up.
Where we could not source something we left it out rather than rounding it in our favour. That is why you will not find a storey count, a year of construction or a bed total anywhere on this site — we could not verify any of the three, so we do not print them.
